[ Akira isn't one for raising his voice, either, but this is a different situation entirely. Take action and assert yourself or else you'll never have a chance. Humming thoughtfully, he's sure his roommates would be courteous enough. ]
I'm sure it'll be fine. [ NO PROBLEMS. ] I'll be in your care today, then.
[ After placing the mug on a surface, he plops onto the couch to lounge... If that means having to use Minato as a cushion, then so be it. ]
[ If they don't want to watch, all the better; they can turn the volume up and leave the subtitles on.
TODAY, THOUGH..... weren't you going to pick up a jacket and then leave, Akira... But it's okay, he can lie on Minato's lap if he's brave enough. If that's the case, Minato's just going to rest his cup on Akira's forehead and have him be thankful it's juice and not hot coffee. ]
[ He was, but he's tired now that he arrived on his dragon and healed his apathetic senpai. Odd enough, he stays completely still and keeps the cup balanced on his forehead—all with his eyes closed. ]
I am. I have napping on Minato's couch etched into my schedule.
[ This trial is like not being able to get up with a cat pinning down one's lap... Minato waits until Akira stops moving, and then lets go of the cup, leaving it at his mercy. What to do about somebody trying to sleep on him. If it were the other way around, he'd appreciate being left alone to take this well deserved nap, so...
He leans over to tug a couch cushion out from under Akira's legs, pick his cup back up, and smother dear kohai's face with the cushion.
[ Minato... If you think Akira hasn't trained himself in every single way so he can flirt with death, then you're wrong. His brow does furrow when he feels the cushion plastered to his face, but he can hold his breath for quite some time when the going gets tough.
[ This isn't something he should be training for!! Minato keeps the pressure on for all of ten seconds before letting up, because he's weak and knows that dying by suffocation is the one way he doesn't want to die. The last of the juice gets drunk and the cup set on the table as far as he can reach without rolling Akira off his lap, and then he settles back and leans his elbows on Akira's stomach. ]
I've got homework... And this is my couch. If you want to sleep, my room's at the end of the hall, door to your right.
[ It's helpful? You face death every day, so knowing how to play the game is crucial! By the way, he quickly switched to Yoshitsune, so the elbow to his stomach does not at all inflict the sharp pain. Bless.
[ Ughhh... He probably can't lift a dead body all by himself, but rather than be convince that Akira's really dead, he thinks through the ways people try to wake him up; smothering him with the cushion is more or less like pinching his nose, and the elbow drop is equivalent to a sternal rub. He's out of juice, or it would've been like splashing cold water on his face. Tickling is weird, pass. Mnn.... It's tough. Maybe he'll just give up and sleep too.
A glance over at Akira's face to see if his eyes are still closed. Then Minato gets his phone out and taps out a text to send to Akira. Two messages. Three. bzzz. bzzzz. ]
[ He can only be woken up by true love's kiss, but there's no way Minato can figure that out. Akira rests peacefully, slowly lulled into a slumber. Except, no, his phone is here.
... It could be urgent, but he has a feeling it isn't. He opens his eyes to check the lock screen, anyway. Huh. Smart. ]
If I rolled you off, you'll just sleep on my floor. That's what I would do.
[ Text messages on the other hand, is something people check reflexively in this day and age, so that's what he banked on. What he sent isn't anything important, so he cuts in before Akira can check his phone. ]
[ Damn technology and his attachment to it... In this day and age, who doesn't check their texts? His gaze lifts to lock onto Minato's eyes, as if searching into his soul like most cats do. ]
[ Minato stares back. His roommate has a cat and Minato's won every single staring contest to date. ]
I have schoolwork. [ In general, all the time, it's never ending. Even if he didn't originally plan to do it this afternoon. ] Go to bed, generate your own body heat, and the blankets will trap it and keep you warm.
[ Akira is the superior cat here. Minato can try!! Maybe not today, but another time. He sits up, now resting to the back of the couch like a normal person. ]
You sure? I don't want to impose more than I have.
[ Akira is very Aware when he's asserting him into someone's space. It's temping, especially with how exhausted he feels. His usual naps are half an hour to an hour, so there's no need to kick him out by force, either. ]
Your roommate won't find that weird—you do have one, right? Jamie.
[ This “Jamie,” if they exist... THEY WONT FIND THIS WEIRD? ]
[ His mysterious roommate "Jamie" that nobody has ever seen around... except for they do and Jamie is currently studying hard for the MCAT so he's out in the library somewhere and probably wouldn't be back until late. It'll be fine and they can avoid the whole encounter if Akira leaves before he comes back, or if he wakes up too late, Minato can roll him out the window. ]
Jamie? Yeah, he'll probably find it weird seeing somebody in my bed. But he'll understand if we explain, and wouldn't make a big deal about it. That's why I like him.
[ Minato's favorite people are those who are naturally accepting and easy to get along with, so Jamie is a blessing of a roommate and Minato wouldn't be able to think of anybody better to live with. ]
[ Ah... Minato's favorite, Jamie. A good person. Akira's quiet as Minato reassures him to sleep on his bed—naturally, he has some issues with it, but should he really fight this an nth time? ]
All right, thanks. [ Rubbing his neck nervously, his voice softens. ] Wake me up if I end up oversleeping.
[ With a small bow of his head, he picks himself up onto his feet and heads to Minato's room. Hopefully, it isn't that empty. ]
[ Minato only has like three or four favorite people and it isn't hard to guess who. He follows Akira to the bedroom only long enough to grab his backpack and laptop so he can camp out in the living room and leave him undisturbed, but the room itself is about as empty as Akira might guess. There's a bed, neatly made, and a desk with nothing on it aside from an alarm clock and a Christmas card from Elliot lying face down on one corner that might have been taped up at one point but has since fallen down. Otherwise unremarkable.
If Akira uses his Third Eye, though, he'll probably see that the closed closet door hides something... a lot of things... shining like a beacon, but he's there to sleep and not snoop right? Right. ]

[ Reflexively, Akira does use his Third Eye to check for anything. He has only known Minato for a short time, so to say he isn't curious is a lie. What kind of life does Minato live? Someone that is blatantly the opposite Minako, one of the brightest stars in Recolle's sky...
That's a lot of stuff though. It's a little hard to discern what's what with how everything is bundled together, but he isn't rude enough to snoop without good reasons. Curiosity is not enough. His new mistress, Minato's bed, beckons him with sweet temporary death. He slips into the sheets, wrapping himself into a blanket burrito before knocking himself out.
For Minato, oversleeping doesn't exist in his vocabulary, so he just leaves Akira alone and does his work in the living room for a bit. At some point since then, he leaves the apartment and... doesn't come back. Goodbye, Akira, thank you for apartment-sitting. When he wakes up, there is a key on the desk beside the bed, along with a note reading:
"If I'm not back when you wake up, go home. Lock up and throw the key back through the window by the door. I left it open." ]
