In his opinion, yes. He'd consider himself wet when underwater. Which I think is a very boring answer. I mean, he's technically right, but from a matter of perspective things that live in the water do not inherently have the same term or even the same scale of wetness that we do living on land. We understand the difference between dry and wet because we're always dry. A mermaid, for example, understands dryness when she breaches the surface, but it's just returning to normalcy when she dives back down below. I don't think she'd consider herself "wet", just... alive and well. Healthy.
but, definition wise, i guess you can say you're wet underwater. i personally think you only feel wet when you're out of the water. the sensation isn't the same submerged, but that's just me.
No, that's how I think of it as well. I thought you'd come to the same conclusion. Or, well, hoped. I can't say I can predict the future just yet! Or read your mind. One of which I'm working more seriously on than the other.
[... the latter part of this is blessedly not reaching Akira.]
[He's so thankful it didn't send. Like, there's a hell of a game of telephone going on with his message now, but. Maybe it won't bite him in the ass. It can't possibly.]
I think it's a fair trade-off, but that's because I'm getting the longer end of the stick.
As for the video...
I wasn't expecting that end. The music does a wonderful job with how it pulls you in with such an upbeat sort of tone, but the lyrics are dissonant with it; the way everything softens to the most basic of sounds at points of drama really plays up the tension of the situation, stresses the importance of the scenes. The visual effect is stunning as well, not the mention the people who take on the roles of different parts of the story, and the narrator's regret at not getting to know the man spoken of in the song...
Well, I'll cut myself a little short and say that I enjoyed it. On a lighter, more trivial note, I wish I could skateboard like that girl. She's really good. Oh, and I like the... guitar? chords too, the ones the strike every so often between verses. I don't know anything about music theory (I might look into it at some point?) but I think it's really striking.
Just a feeling, though. Also: I appreciate all of the colors being present. It's such a small thing, but it's so nice.
yeah, it's nice though dissonant. i spent some time wondering about the lyrics and if the video is actually directly following it. there are a lot of sad culture references in there, too, so the title of the video really is fitting. in general, the song is catchy.
i'm sure you can pick up longboarding if you can afford the time and you're right. seeing blue again is really nice.
[ At least in videos, even photos. Akira spent some time going through his photos just to admire them. ]
since summer is close to ending, do you want to do some bug-catching sometime?
[Hmm. Maybe he'll try it. It looks fuoh. Well. Hoo boy. He's gonna have a new trial, that being his thoughts and feelings broadcasted around Akira, jesus fuck.
... On the other hand, it's the same for Akira. But it feels wrong to look at someone's private thoughts, so maybe he'll just keep his eyes to the ground. And on the prize. Which are bugs.]
I'd like that very much, actually. I just hope we don't catch more bites than bugs.
[Good luck, Akira..! Really, good luck. He kind of has to do the same.]
You're telling me that half past one in the morning isn't a reasonable time? Consider me surprised.
But I agree, that would be best. [... And romantic. But watching sunsets with your friends is normal too, he did it with Haru just the other day.] Shall we venture into the forest? Or are we sticking closer to the city?
oh, you've become bad to the bone now. i should be the one surprised.
por que no los dos. we can hang around the city for a bit before heading to the forest when it starts getting dark. sounds good? i can even prepare us a picnic basket so some bears can ambush us.
I *was* a lawless bandit of the sea for a week. A man changes out there. (Yarr?)
Sounds good. I can't wait to see the extent of your culinary prowess, Akira, and I'm sure the bears can't wait to try and scare a couple of teens away for it too. Don't worry, I'll protect you.
I've used one before, it's okay. I'm experienced! I will most likely not ruin your new bathroom.
Also... I don't really have any particular favorites? It isn't as if I go on picnics all that often. Salad? Oh, or maybe dumplings actually. Something that isn't particularly messy. ... And something sweet. I don't mind whatever it is, but I'd like something sweet. I've been craving maple desserts since Haru made muffins for our evening together.
dumplings and some maple dessert. got it. i've never made dumplings, but wish me luck? if i don't make it, remember me fondly. i leave Morrigan in your care. he also really likes Ann, so I would recommend letting him visit her once in a while.
I'm out with someone at the moment, but I don't foresee this engagement lasting more than an hour? So do take your time. I'll be sure to cut it short if it starts to go past that.
If not, it isn't as if I mind waiting on you. I'm looking forward to seeing you, Akira.
[... SO SURELY HIS DAY WITH SILVER WILL GO WELL and he'll arrive five til, sending a brief text to tell Akira he's waiting outside. It's really starting to become fall, isn't it... It isn't cold, but the wind's cooler than the last time they got to go out together. Soon it'll be all kinds of pretty colors and Goro will blend in like a chameleon with all the soft browns.]
[ Akira comes out with his bag probably filled with packed goodies before giving Goro a short wave. If he even thinks about staring at his thought bubble, it starts with some stars... then everyone can see that it says "oh, he's been waiting for me" and a image of a cute brown dog that follows right after.
Either way, they're here and Akira is half-dressed between summer and fall. Perfect. ]
[............... He should've thought of a place on his way over instead of being concerned about Akira. Goro glances away, smiling a little thinly as he hums.]
Since the forest's near Apprassage anyway, I though we could walk around there? There is plenty to do, even if it's, um, more on the educational side for the most part... [He trails off, looking back at Akira with something of a resigned expression.
He knows. He's a goddamn nerd. The Museums and Planetarium are up his alley 100%, they're fun for him and literally no one else.] I don't suppose you'd consider the library acceptable? Or maybe one of the museums.
[There's a certain dark tone to the thoughts that appear above him, disguised sweetly behind his hopeful smile: "Ooh, a museum, that's a great idea! Who let you do anything, Goro Akechi. You're a bore. You'd deserve to be laughed at."]
[ Akira is actually searching on the Recolle Apprassage page to see what they can check out in terms of museums and exhibits. He thoughtfully hums as he strokes his chin. It doesn't seem like he's disinterested or aware until a light bulb shows up in his own thought bubble as he lifts his gaze from his phone. ]
I haven't been to the planetarium in a while, actually... But I wouldn't mind going to one of the museums.
[ And he catches the dark, foreboding cloud over Goro's head. Well then. Just... Giving him an incredulous look. ]

i don't find it unfortunate at all.
