In his opinion, yes. He'd consider himself wet when underwater.
Which I think is a very boring answer.
I mean, he's technically right, but from a matter of perspective things that live in the water do not inherently have the same term or even the same scale of wetness that we do living on land.
We understand the difference between dry and wet because we're always dry. A mermaid, for example, understands dryness when she breaches the surface, but it's just returning to normalcy when she dives back down below.
I don't think she'd consider herself "wet", just... alive and well. Healthy.

but, definition wise, i guess you can say you're wet underwater. i personally think you only feel wet when you're out of the water. the sensation isn't the same submerged, but that's just me.

I think it's a fair trade-off, but that's because I'm getting the longer end of the stick.

As for the video...

I wasn't expecting that end. The music does a wonderful job with how it pulls you in with such an upbeat sort of tone, but the lyrics are dissonant with it; the way everything softens to the most basic of sounds at points of drama really plays up the tension of the situation, stresses the importance of the scenes. The visual effect is stunning as well, not the mention the people who take on the roles of different parts of the story, and the narrator's regret at not getting to know the man spoken of in the song...

Well, I'll cut myself a little short and say that I enjoyed it. On a lighter, more trivial note, I wish I could skateboard like that girl. She's really good. Oh, and I like the... guitar? chords too, the ones the strike every so often between verses. I don't know anything about music theory (I might look into it at some point?) but I think it's really striking.

Just a feeling, though. Also: I appreciate all of the colors being present. It's such a small thing, but it's so nice.

yeah, it's nice though dissonant. i spent some time wondering about the lyrics and if the video is actually directly following it. there are a lot of sad culture references in there, too, so the title of the video really is fitting. in general, the song is catchy.

i'm sure you can pick up longboarding if you can afford the time and you're right. seeing blue again is really nice.

It doesn't seem like he's disinterested or aware until a light bulb shows up in his own thought bubble as he lifts his gaze from his phone. ]

I haven't been to the planetarium in a while, actually... But I wouldn't mind going to one of the museums.
